Sunroom & Patio in Northumberland

We were asked to construct a small extension in the style of a Sunroom to the rear of a Farmhouse in Northumberland. The customer wanted this to open out onto a patio area which lead out onto the garden.

We are pleased to say that we satisfied the brief, and gave the customer a room, which the adults in the household, we are told, now use to relax in.

Graham our builder even constructed the stone seating area outside, with stone which the customer was going to dispose of – much to the customers delight. Another satisfied customer!

Guttering in Sunderland

Following the recent heavy snow in Sunderland and the North East, we have received a number of calls from homes owners whose guttering has been damaged due to the excessive weight of snow.

Boundary walls in Tudhoe Village – Part 1

We were asked raise the existing stone boundary walls at this property. The picture to the left shows the original wall prior to commencing work.Work has started to extend the wall on the picture to the right.And below, the final result. We worked hard to ensure that the new section of the wall blended in well, giving the impression that it had always been there, and was not added on at a later date.

As well as raising the existing boundary stone walls at this property, we were also asked to rebuild a section of the wall 1.5m closer to the property to allow for a new path. We also added a sloping section of wall and built stone pillars either side of a new door above which sits a lovely stone head. The series of photographs that follow take you through the process we followed.

Porch in Kielder

This is a porch we built using stone in Kielder.

In the top photo we are mid construction, whilst the bottom picture shows the finished product.

We also laid gravel to the front of the property to give a pathway which complimented the property style.
